Date: September 18, 2019
Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDT
The Great Barrington Historical Society is presenting a nostalgic and some times humorous program entitled "Coming of Age in the 60's" with speaker Robert Krol, on Wednesday, September 18, at 7:00pm at the Teague Senior Center on South Main Street in Great Barrington. The program is a sequel to last year's highly entertaining "Growing Up in the 50's" program and will focus on the 60's era when Baby Boomers came of age. Robert will highlight the experiences that were shared by all, no matter if one lived in the city or country at that time. The multi-media program is free and open to the public. The program is the opening event that also introduces the "Coming of Age in the 60's" Exhibit at the Great Barrington Historical Society Museum on South Main Street in Great Barrington that premiers on Saturday, September 21st and will run through mid-November. The exhibit includes pictures and artifacts of Great Barrington in the 60's as well as those from national events and pop culture. The display of New York World's Fair items was created by Ettore Toppi and David Unger of the Duet Gallery in town. Museum Hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 - 2:00 and admission is free.
