Housatonic Party in the Park

Live music, dance, face painting, food and more will fill Housatonic Village Common for this free event coordinated by the Housatonic Improvement Committee. All are welcome. Food and snacks are provided by North Plain Farm, SoCo Creamery, Truck Dining Haul and Extra Special Teas. The Great Barrington Fire Department will bring a display fire truck and the Great Barrington Police Department will bring Archer, its comfort dog. Bowey the Magic Clown makes an appearance, and Great Barrington Libraries will host activities and other local vendors and organizations will provide information about their activities and services. Live musicians include Soul Prophet, Johnny Blond, The Faithless Few and Jackson Whalan. Berkshire Pulse will present classes in African dance, drumming and swing dance, and BerkCirque will present a circus demonstration. Event sponsors include the Berkshire Food Coop, CT Management Group, and Gabriel Electric. Other sponsors include Berkshire Property Agents, Bradley Architects, Formel Auto Salvage, Friends of the GB Libraries and Housatonic the Beautiful. T Square Design has designed Housatonic-centric merchandise, which will be for sale at the event. In the event of rain, the event will be held in the Housatonic Community Center.
