The Chorus has been having a blast this summer at their musical kickball games at Sheffield Town Park. Family members, kids, and our special musical guests have all tried their *feet* at it, and there have been lots of laughs, cheers, and some even rally caps! If you are curious about registering your child for the Chorus for the coming school year, this is a great way to meet our Artistic Director and current Chorus members and learn what we're all about. We have one more game day left this summer, on Saturday, August 13th, 10:30-12:30 at Sheffield Town Park. RSVP here: https://berkshirechildrenschorus.org/kick-it/ About the Musical Guests: Maggie McRae, the Dewey Hall Manager, is an Alexander Technique Teacher, musician, dance caller, and event organizer based in Egremont, MA. She plays a variety of fiddle tunes, including Swedish and Norwegian dance music and loves to play and sing swing tunes and jazz standards on the uke. Maggie has been on the teaching staff at Berkshire Summer Strings and Centrum’s Festival of American Fiddle Tunes (kids’ band lab). When she's not organizing events, teaching, or performing, Maggie can be found enjoying the outdoors, or working and riding at Blue Rider Stables. Michael Siktberg, the Dewey Hall Assistant Manager, moved to Sheffield two years ago with his wife Ruby (and their three cats!) Before that he spent 20 years in New York City, where he worked as a musician and actor. Besides having performed for theatre’s all across the country, Michael is a popular children’s entertainer and pre school music teacher. He is a graduate of the American Music and Dramatic Academy and a member of the Actors Equity Association. Michael relishes in the endless possibilities for bringing music, art, fellowship, and love to Sheffield and the greater Berkshire community.
