Event Description:
Join Greenagers guides to learn about native bumblebee pollinators in diverse habitats at the 100-acre property of the April Hill Education and Conservation Center. Inspired by the Egremont Pollinator Pathway toolkit designed by Evan Abramson and Dr. Robert Gegear of Landscape Interactions and the Beecology Project , participating citizen scientists will take photos/videos of bee/plant interactions. Environmental landscape planner/designer Evan Abramson will lead participants on identifying and comparing pollinator-plant interactions and answer questions. The data collected will help develop more pollinator-friendly land care practices and support regional efforts to conserve at-risk pollinator species. Easy level walking/hiking. Wear sturdy footwear. Suggest bringing something to drink. 2 hours – <1 mile. Rain Date: Sunday, September 26. This event will be held in accordance with COVID-19 state guidelines. This is a free event. Space is Limited. Registration Required by September 14
