Bard College at Simon’s Rock is the only college in the U.S. specifically designed for students ready to enter college after the 10th or 11th grade and begin working on their Bachelor's Degree two years early. Simon's Rock offers an innovative curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, taught by supportive, highly trained faculty, who are leading scholars in their field. The College grants both AA and BA degrees.
Students at Bard College at Simon's Rock have opportunities to enroll in Dual Degree Programs with partnering institutions, study away in countries around the world, conduct undergraduate research, and complete a Senior Thesis.
Bard Academy is the nation’s first two-year boarding and day program designed to prepare 9th and 10th graders to start college early. Within six years of entering Bard Academy as a high school freshman, a student who matriculates into the College will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. The Academy curriculum is designed and taught by college professors.
Simon’s Rock offers residents and visitors numerous opportunities to delve into cultural events—from visual and performing arts to lectures and readings. Events are open to the public and free, unless otherwise noted.

Simon’s Rock is located in Western Massachusetts in the town of Great Barrington. Our 275-acre campus is situated roughly 2.5 hours driving distance from both Boston and New York City.
