  • About

Berkshire HorseWorks™ offers fun, experiential ground-based activities with horses for families, couples, friends, and organizations on an 8 acre ranch in Richmond comprising multiple barns, outdoor paddocks, an organic garden, hiking trails and meditative hamlets for yoga and mindfulness. Whether you’re looking for a family bonding experience or a corporate team building initiative, BHW will customize a program for you. No horse experience necessary. All legs are on the ground, human and horse side by side ready to learn.

Problem solve with horses ~ there’s no right or wrong. Use your brain, use your body, use your intuition as you think out of the box and get into the arena or the woods with our friendly horses.
Berkshire HorseWorks™ Inc., a 501(C)3, is part of the international EAGALA network of 5,200 certified professionals in 52 countries. Proceeds from these activities directly fund BHW’s Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning programs for at-risk youth, veterans, and families. Programs include “Bully Prevention Program”; “Girls Rule!” focusing on leadership development and empowerment; “Team Effectiveness” for families and groups of all kinds, and “Horse Powered Veterans” to help with resiliency and reintegration back into society.
